Intajuna: Palestinian Fast Moving Consumer Goods Manufacturers, Fresh Fruits and Vegetables Cooperatives
Enhancing Palestinian consumer perception of locally made products and fresh produce
Intajuna (English: Our Production) a nationwide project designed, managed and executed by Solutions. Intajuna was conceptualized based on Solutions’ unique approach to building national programs aimed at the development of various sectors in Palestine.
At the core of Intajuna’s methodology is the accumulation of industry and market insights, a combination of business consulting services, and a consumer marketing campaign. The project investigates Palestinian household needs, concerns, motivations, and emotions through a focused consumer survey to properly advise Palestinian manufacturers on how to best serve their local community. Additionally, Intajuna worked with a steering committee of NGOs and industry representatives to support in advocating for a business enabling and development environment.
15 leading FMCG manufacturers and 26 Fresh Fruits and Vegetables’ cooperatives participated in the project to provide the Palestinian consumers with quality examples of products and produce available in the market. Together with Intajuna, these companies worked to address and change the negative impact of consumers’ hesitance to try and buy local products. Intajuna aimed to recapture the market share of Palestinian products through enhancing perception, and focusing on the overall economic benefit of buying local products that translates into growth, expansion, and consequently job opportunities at local companies.
Intajuna was primarily funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation SDC and sponsorships from the Palestinian private sector for their belief in the importance of such projects.
